2017 WATESOL Expo on Saturday, July 1st.

Do come along and join us for a morning of stimulating presentations, interesting discussions, spot prizes and networking with your TESOL colleagues. New members and friends are very welcome. The venue is the Massey University, Wellington. For a map of the campus, please click on the link and download the 2016 Wellington campus map: http://www.massey.ac.nz/massey/student-life/about-our-campuses/wellington-campus/maps-and-transport/maps-and-transport.cfm  The easiest entrance to use is Entrance A from Wallace St. From there it is a short walk to the Pyramid where the registration desk will be located and the morning tea will be available. The keynote talks and workshops will be in the adjoining blocks 5 and 6. There will be signs posted around the campus indicating the way to the Expo and to the presentation rooms.

Parking: all the parking areas marked on the map are available on a Saturday but those specific parking spaces that are named, numbered, marked reserved, or marked disabled should not be used.

Attendance: free for WATESOL members, non-members $25 (waged), $10 (unwaged).

16th International Conference

GREEK APPLIED LINGUISTICS ASSOCIATION on  “Migration and Language Education”

 Thessaloniki, Greece, 6-8 October 2017


The Greek Applied Linguistics Association (GALA) is organising its 16th International Conference of Applied Linguistics on migrant and refugee education which is currently an issue of utmost importance in Europe.

 A WORKSHOP on “Language Assessment of Immigrants and Refugees” will take place within the framework of the conference. The workshop is organised by Professor David Little and his colleagues and will last from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Participation will be limited and there will be an extra registration fee of 10€.

All abstracts should include title, author(s)’ name(s), affiliation, author(s)’ postal and e-mail address(es). Abstracts should be submitted as pdf files and sent to galaconf2017@enl.auth.gr.
